I started Suzy-Q as a creative outlet to organize all of my thoughts and ideas. The name "Suzy-Q" has been a nickname of mine since I was a baby because of my middle name Suzanne.

I was born in Macon, GA but grew up in Orem, UT.  I have always had a passion for a variety of things and could never make up my mind on just one. I've danced my entire life, I love to sew and ski, and I thrive off of DIY projects.

In 2011, I graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor's of Science in Public Health. However, while in college, I studied fashion by working for the company Nordstrom to support myself and my husband through school. I held a variety of management and sales positions and it was during those years at Nordstrom that my passion for fashion really took off.

After over 6 years with Nordstrom I decided to stay home and take care of my son, Alexander, but my love for fashion still continues. Blake, my husband, and I currently live in Minneapolis, MN.
